The Birth Alarm Classic is the original birth alarm system in our range. The system works via a powerful 433 MHz radio signal and needs no app, SIM card or internet connection. Thanks to the three modes — normal mode, sleep mode and colic mode — the Classic offers maximum reliability for every mare. Ideal for both private owners and large stables, thanks to the expandability to four mares.
This system is delivered excluding anti-roll girth. To use the Birth Alarm Classic you need this girth. If you don’t have an anti-roll girth yet, choose the Classic Complete.
The Birth Alarm Classic is the first system that Birth Alarm ever developed and has been a trusted solution worldwide for safe foal births since 1992. This model stands out for its simplicity, stability, and the fact that it works completely independently of mobile networks or internet. The alarm signal is sent via a powerful 433 MHz radio signal to a physical receiver that you place, for example, in your house or next to your bed. This keeps the system reliable, even in remote locations or stables with poor coverage.
When a mare is about to foal, she almost always lies down completely flat. The transmitter, mounted on your mare’s withers with an anti-roll girth, registers this specific horizontal position and immediately sends a signal to the receiver.
As soon as the mare lies completely flat, the transmitter starts “transmitting” and the alarm follows after a few seconds.

Because the Classic functions completely independently via a radio signal, you are completely independent of mobile coverage or wifi signal. Ideal for rural areas or when this is your preference.
The Birth Alarm Classic is the only model that can be expanded to four mares thanks to additional transmitters (one main transmitter with automatic transmitter monitoring + maximum three additional transmitters). Perfect for professional breeders or stables.
The receiver has clear buttons and indicator lights for modes and alarm. Resetting is done simply via the switch on the receiver. Very easy and intuitive for the user.
