The Birth Alarm Mobile 2.0 is a user-friendly and reliable birth alarm system that works via the mobile network. The transmitter detects the typical birth position of the mare and automatically calls up to four preset phone numbers. No app is needed: the phone numbers are set directly on the SIM card, and the operation is via one button with clear LED indication. Ideal for horse owners who want to be reachable everywhere and receive the alarm directly on their own smartphone.
The Birth Alarm Mobile 2.0 is designed for anyone who wants a birth alarm to be forwarded to their phone. The transmitter is mounted on the mare’s withers with an anti-roll girth, the position most reliable for detecting the characteristic side-lying position during foaling. As soon as the mare lies in this position, the Mobile 2.0 sends an alarm via the mobile network.
Insert a SIM card (preferably prepaid) into the transmitter. You can program up to four phone numbers on that SIM. When an alarm is detected, the Mobile 2.0 automatically calls the first number. If there is no answer, the next number is called, up to a maximum of four phone numbers. Extra assurance to not miss the birth.
The operation is intentionally kept simple. With one button on the transmitter, you can turn Sleep Mode on or off. This mode is intended for mares that sleep in the flat side-lying position. If you know your mare does this, you can set the Birth Alarm to Sleep Mode. The LED light immediately shows which mode is active: one blink means Sleep Mode is off, three blinks mean Sleep Mode is on. This way, you can check at a glance if the system is set up correctly.
The Mobile 2.0 operates independently of Wi-Fi or an app and is therefore very stable as long as there is sufficient mobile coverage. The system is suitable for both stable and pasture, as long as the mobile network works well at that location. In combination with an anti-roll girth and matching girth, the transmitter remains stable in the correct position and can measure accurately.
